I meet a Duty Squad mutant hunting and use them for fast travel to the Container Yard. From there strange events start happening, to where all three of them will be split up and only one survives.

The thing that is interesting about this is I originally used the Duty Squad for fast travel a second time because they got split up outside Volkhov. The squad leader and another went to Volkhov while the Dutyer in the bulat armor remained across the road after killing the two Bandits by the train. I was worried he would be killed by himself since he was in a trance and not moving. I used fast travel from the squad leader, knowing all three would appear together after I arrived at Yanov. As I had seen other squads behave, the squad leader would walk back to where they came from usually joined by one of his men, if not all or sometimes one or two are left behind.

Maybe because they were hunting mutants, they did not behave normally. Instead, the squad leader and a man remained outside Yanov while the Dutyer in regular armor started walking south alone. I went inside and processed my loot and by the time I emerged he was long gone. I tried to find him south and he did not travel the way I expected. He went farther south and not west like I did. I soon discovered he came upon the Freedom Exo and Freedom regular I had seen and talked to earlier. Somehow, they were not alerted to his approach and were killed. I found him leaving them and then heading west back to Volhov.

By the time we both got back to Volkhov, two Bandits had taken up occupancy and the firefight begin where he was soon killed. Then the Dutyer squad leader showed up and started fighting one of the Bandits before he was wounded. I gave him a medkit but he did not pick up his regular weapon but used an AKSU instead that he seemed unable to fire. Jammed? No ammo? I don't know but he was soon killed. What I didn't see was where the last Dutyer had come from but he arrived and killed the two Bandits and then wouldn't talk to me. As if he blamed me for the loss of his two friends when he was originally the one I was trying to help by using fast travel back to Yanov.
