3Imagine getting blinded by the moon, that's what happens to those (applies in the series and is fiction), who stare at the moon during an "Apocalypse". You have solar eclipses and lunar eclipses, but meet the Apocalypse, which is where the moon bounces off excess light from the sun, and those on earth get day during the night, and can only happen during the full moon during a penumbral lunar eclipse. The blinding of character J8 ends during another Apocalypse in 2023, where it occurred on May 5th.
All it does is puts a moon mask over your head, and it does not do much beside it. The biggest annoyance is that it cannot be removed, as it is attached to you. You have to either surgically remove it (which is deadly), or go outside during the next Apocalypse, to get it gone. Same process as you got it, except you'll know it is gone, where the sky goes black for a split second and you see the penumbrally eclipsed moon.
