This was when the revised Knuckles physics were completed and fully implemented.
(These physics have been live in our other project, Sonic 2 Absolute, since March 2022, but were implemented in Sonic 1 Forever first before being ported to 2 Absolute).
Some sprite tweaks and art revisions have occurred since (Knuckles now has a subtle dreadlock animation whilst gliding for example) but nothing has changed in regards to the physics, glide behaviour, hitboxes, etc.
If nothing else, this can serve as a historical archive of the level, but I do also hope it can serve as a demonstration of the more S3K gliding accurate physics and encourages people to try them in this particular level!
