Safari bug: loads page in wrong tab

It seems to hinge on setting the search engine to DuckDuckGo without suggestions. That's what I had to change from the default preferences before I started triggering the bug in this fresh account. It seems the most reliable way to reproduce it is to:

1. Open a new tab.
2. Paste a search term. Doesn't really matter what it is.
3. Switch to a different tab to cancel suggestions.
4. Switch back and click on the field again, not triggering suggestions.
5. Hit enter and immediately switch to a different tab. It probably helps to use keyboard like I did.

If you're 'lucky', the other tab is entirely supplanted. You can't even use back to go back to what used to be there. It doesn't happen every time but it only takes me a few tries this way. A search term that hasn't been used before seems to be more successful, but isn't necessary; the search term I used here had been used a few times before I got a good take.
