Saints Row 2 is an action-adventure video game developed by Volition and published by THQ in 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC port, released in 2009, was developed by CD Projekt, which is known for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher video games. Saints Row 2 is set in the fictional city of Stilwater, based on Detroit in Michigan, USA.
3.4 million units of Saints Row 2 were sold as of September 2010. Added to the sales of the console-only prequel, it became one of the best-selling video game franchises. As of September 2020 with further sequels, the series sold a total of 32 million units worldwide.
