The United Nations declared October 11th as the International Day of the Girl to raise awareness about all issues concerning gender inequality around the world. This year’s theme was BE BOLD: From Equality to Equity. The Salvation Army’s International Social Justice Commission observed the day with a virtual event, featuring the voices of young Salvationist girls from around the world. This unique event provided a platform to showcase their talents, using their words and expressions to spread awareness on equity, and listen as they embrace the power of their voice.
