At his earliest level, his move pretty much suck ass! I suggest you level up your characters in Free Mode before you play Story Mode with this character (get him to at least level 40!). Once you reach a desired level and upgrades, you're ready to destroy the battlefield with Ieyasu! Why? Because holy shit, he's a much better character at that point! That's why!

I do find it kind of weird that his level 3 Musou with Awakening 2 kind pushes enemies away from his attack (he fires his cannon balls faster and there's cannon balls fired from above...these are the ones that push enemies away more than the cannonballs he fires himself). So if you're gonna use his Musou attack, be sure to be near a wall!
