Motochika had finally unified Shikoku. However, this victory was short lived, as these were trying times. His friend Mitsuhide Akechi assassinated Nobunaga Oda, the man whom everyone believed would unify Japan. Nobunaga's death would shortly be avenged by Hideyohi Toyotomi, who would also take over Nobunaga's ambitions and advanced towards Shikoku. Hideyoshi would sent Mitsunari Ishida to Sanuki to lead the invasion. He would go on to meet with the remnants of the Miyoshi clan and use Hiketa Castle as his base. It would only be a matter of time before Shikoku would fall to the might of the Toyotomi but, despite this, Motochika remained calm and made his decision...

And this finishes the Legend of Shikoku storyline. There's no gaiden stage for this story, so we are actually done this time. Next up is Legend of Kinki.
