Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on April 30th, and had a good day operating my usual Amtrak passenger train and my recently received Legacy Acela set, and expansion pack. I was going to operate the Acela on the black line today, but since a member cancelled I was given more freedom to pick lines (as our operations manager came to substitute). I chose the blue line as it’s the safest bet for operating the Acela fast, which turned out to be completely true. I operated the set at limited speed this time, but tried normal speed off camera (that felt pretty safe too). But I’ll stick with limited speed for the most part. Set operated with 0 issues and operated nonstop as well.
Also you will likely notice that the passenger cars are flipped around this time. Out of the box the engines are at the wrong ends of the train, but that can be fixed with just swapping the tethers/couplers on the engines. So the configuration in this video is exactly like the real train set now.
