San Diego 3 Railers MTH KCS SD70ACe and BNSF ES44AC action; May 7th, 2022
10Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on May 7th, and had a good day operating my usual Amtrak passenger train and my usual manifest freight consist (but with 2 of my MTH freight locos in an MU this time). This is my first time running 2 MTH engines in an MU and it went without any issues. Having to put smoke fluid in 2 engines and getting them to visually have the same output was an annoying task to do, but not too terrible. Only issues that came up was the Ferromex autorack randomly disconnecting and leaving the last 9 cars behind (I caught that every time), but I fixed that issue closer to the end of the day.
