Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on October 21st, and had a good day operating my Lionel Reading Alco ABBA locomotive set with a manifest freight train. I have had these engines in my possession since late August, but only now had the ability to film a video on them. I was going do it earlier, but the powered B unit completely died the second time I ran the set. I have gotten a replacement powered B unit since then, which is working perfectly. But then came across smoke unit consistency issues between engines, which are fixed in this video. Anyway, here they are now.
These are a Nicholas Smith Trains exclusive run, of which 25 were made, you can currently buy them as you see for 1300. Their current asking price is around 480 dollars less than what you would pay for buying everything separately. Overall I highly recommend these; they’re very nicely done overall. Slightly inaccurate to the real Reading FAs and FBs, as the real ones were -1 revisions, but overall still look great.
