1Sand Land is an action role-playing game developed by ILCA and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is based on the Japanese manga series “Sand Land” created by Akira Toriyama in 2000. It is one of the last projects to have any involvement by Toriyama before his death on March 1, 2024.
In the game, players take on the role of Beelzebub, a fiend prince, Sheriff Rao, and demon Thief as they search for a Legendary Spring hidden in the desert. The game is set in a world where both humans and demons suffer from an extreme water shortage, and the team must navigate through the desert to find the spring.
The game features a unique blend of action and exploration, with players able to operate a variety of vehicles, including battle tanks, motorbikes, and jump-bots. The game also has a strong focus on character customization, allowing players to develop their own tanks and vehicles using a wide array of part combinations.
The game has received mixed reviews, with some critics praising its unique gameplay mechanics and world design, while others have criticized its lack of depth and storytelling. Despite this, the game has a dedicated fan base and is a must-play for fans of the original manga series.
