Sands of Salzaar is like if you put Starsector in the desert, replaced the starships with Horses, Camels, and magical beasts, set everything on fire a little extra, and then give both Path of Exile and World of Warcraft style talent trees. There's a lot to like in this game, one that was recommended to me via a comment awhile ago. And if I wasn't playing two very similar games as series right now, I could probably jump on and start a series for SoS right away. Still, this one is very good and in full release mode. Definitely check it out.
