128The Bhartiya way is sustainable and strives for the welfare of all. It is important that we regain the comprehensive knowledge system of our heritage and demonstrate the ‘Indian way’ of doing things to the world. This requires training generations of scholars who will demonstrate and exemplify to the world a way of life so unique and peculiar to our great civilization.
The NEP, 2020 recognizes this rich heritage of ancient and eternal Indian knowledge and thought as a guiding principle. The Indian Knowledge Systems comprising Jnan, Vignan, and Jeevan Darshan have evolved out of experience, observation, experimentation, and rigorous analysis. This tradition of validating and putting into practice has impacted our education, arts, administration, law, justice, health, manufacturing, and commerce.
The Sangam IKS series is the outcome of MoE, IKS division project work undertaken by Sangam Talks to disseminate this tradition.
About the Talk:
One more or less gets a basic idea of what is IKS, which is the Ancient Indian Knowledge System, if one goes through the IKS videos that are available on this channel. Yet in this wonderful presentation, we can comprehensively get the classification of Ancient Indian texts, and understand the science and the technological parts of it.
One can also find out how in contrast to modern science, IKS not only depends on observation, and acknowledgment of the physical existence of nature, but rather realised the oneness of mind and nature as an inseparable entity, through spiritual experiences, and refers to this unified consciousness as the "Brahman".

About The Speaker:
Arjak Bhattacharjee is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of biomedical engineering, Tufts University, Boston, USA. His research area is 3D-printed implant manufacturing for various cancer treatments and tissue engineering applications with the help of naturally derived compounds such as turmeric extract. A recipient of a "Gold Medal" from the president of India, while studying in IIT Kanpur, He directed the world’s first documentary on ceramics titled “Oneness with the Infinite” which won two international awards in 2017.
