Welcome to my Satisfactory Update 8 walkthrough/playthrough series. I am excited to get back to some factory building after stepping away from the game for about a year. The goal for this series is to try out starting in the Dune Desert and progressing as far as possible through the games progression. We will feature episodes focused on displaying how to make progress through Satisfactory and on how to build various production lines at ratio.
I am playing with two mods through this playthrough called Buildable Resource Nodes Redux and Refined Power. Buildable Resource Nodes Redux allows you to construct your own resource nodes after unlocking milestones and at the cost of the resource for the node you want to build. Refined power adds in several alternative methods for generating power from wind turbines to coal and oil based turbine generators. These mods were added to the game through use of Satisfactory mod manager if you want to check them out for yourself.
In this episode we add in some alternative power in the form of windmills from the Refined Power mod to enable further expansion of our factory. We also unlock several of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 milestones to enable the construction of sorely needed logistic, base building, and production facilities.
