Welcome to my Satisfactory Update 8 walkthrough/playthrough series. I am excited to get back to some factory building after stepping away from the game for about a year. The goal for this series is to try out starting in the Dune Desert and progressing as far as possible through the games progression. We will feature episodes focused on displaying how to make progress through Satisfactory and on how to build various production lines at ratio.
I am playing with two mods through this playthrough called Buildable Resource Nodes Redux and Refined Power. Buildable Resource Nodes Redux allows you to construct your own resource nodes after unlocking milestones and at the cost of the resource for the node you want to build. Refined power adds in several alternative methods for generating power from wind turbines to coal and oil based turbine generators. These mods were added to the game through use of Satisfactory mod manager if you want to check them out for yourself.
In this episode we expand our factory to produce Automated Wiring at a rate of 5 per minute. Automated wiring is primarily used to complete the 2nd and 3rd phases of the space elevator, so having it automated will help us continue to progress in unlocking milestones. This build requires one impure coal, one impure iron, and one pure copper nodes all being gathered with tier 1 miners.
