DETAILED INFO BELOW - Please read for further clarification. This is not a guide for a full system transfer to a different Nintendo Switch, only as a way to keep your data while upgrading to a new microSD card.

SWITCH ERROR:
If you are doing a data transfer and get the Error Code: 2016-0247, then this is the tutorial for you!

"Unable to access microSD card.
Please turn off the console and reinsert the microSD card.
You can turn the power off from Power Options in the Power Menu (hold the POWER Button for three seconds)."

WHAT YOU NEED:
- your old microSD card (with all your save files on it)
- your new microSD card
- a computer
- a microSD card adapter for your computer
- your Nintendo Switch

SCREENSHOTS AND VIDEO
You can get around this issue in the Switch’s settings. Just transfer your captures from the original microSD to your system memory. Then with the new microSD in, transfer your captures to that.

REPLACE FILES NOT FOLDERS
When you are copying files, do not replace folders, only files. The video shows some folders in the video being copied but never replaced.

COPY DIGITAL GAMES
The registered folder is where your downloaded games are (each game is in its own folder with a unique name made of zeroes and letters). These folders can be copied from the old registered folder into the new registered folder.
