Hello friends, and welcome back to Let's Play Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland! Finally, we've gotten our first Save the Homeland ending! Actually, finishing everything by the middle of summer is pretty fast for Harvest Moon... but there are many more endings and we'll start a new year for each one. The 'New Game+' type feature in this game is fairly unique for a Harvest Moon game; very few games have such a feature (I think the Wii titles had this as well, but I can't think of any others that did.)

In this ending, the song that I played with Louis lured a rare bluebird with a cute legend behind it. The feather it dropped was enough proof to save the homeland from being turned into a theme park because the valley is now known to be home to a culturally important endangered species of bird.

The blue feather from this "bluebird of happiness" is part of a old tale, and 'today' (in the game's time), blue feathers are used as a marriage proposal in some cultures because of this story.

But not only do we save the valley, but we also help Louis gather the courage to overcome his shy nature and finally propose to the woman he loves. What a sweet and cute ending!!

This was actually my first time seeing this ending, and it was really good. I love this game; it is one of my favorite Harvest Moon games and just one of my favorite games in general. I plan to get all the endings and try to 100% this game as much as I can, so stay tuned for more Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland fun and endings :) And I plan to start another Harvest Moon game when this one is finished!
