This is the story of one of the very first Pokemon distribution events which took place at Toys "R" Us stores in 1999. Customers who made purchases were given a card at checkout with a chance of winning a Mew for their first generation Pokemon games. Winners would return to Toys "R" Us in the year 2000 to have Mew traded to Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, or Pokremon Yellow!

As the years have passed many Game Boy Pokemon games have started to lose their save data as a result of battery failure. It's inevitable that someday the Mew I received on my Pokemon Yellow will disappear as well...unless we find a way to save it! I hope that you enjoy seeing that process..
