Saving Throws in Your Game- Save or Suck is it Good or Bad!
Saving throws have been a part D&D and Pathfinder since very beginning. 4th Edition Dungeon and Dragons tried to get rid of the save or die rolls or as we like to refer to them affectionately as Save or Suck. 5E D&D has taken the middle ground with saving throws now it is more like two or three missed saves and you suck instead of one. Still quite lethal in this version of the rpg. One of our early sessions saw a character death due to death saving throws. In one of my recent games I had two characters get turned to stone due to two failed saving throws. Would of been a third if not inspiration.
