SC2 - Replay Issue - Why I can't upload great SC2 battles.
0I would love to be able to give you guys wonderful videos of Starcraft 2, I have a few people who've seen screenshots and might want to buy the game even but would like to see a video! But I can't. And in this video of the game, you'll see why. I don't record while I play, I don't want to be lagged down by the recording program. So I wait and use a replay to record my game. Or I would have, if this didn't occur ONLY during replays. Oh well. Read the rest of the description for other info too!
For the past several years now on 2 different machines with 3 different operating systems and multiple different reinstalls to try and fix the issue, I have had this 9th second bug in SC2 replays. Blizzard apparently doesn't care because I have found at least 5 to 10 identical topics posted in the forums about other people who have the SAME ISSUE but no one replies, or other players reply saying they have the same issue, or others reply and say it's a known issue that Blizzard doesn't acknowledge is a known issue.
If you are unsure exactly what the issue is, I call it the 9th second bug. Basically, the game will freeze for a moment no matter what speed you are playing it at every 9th in game second. If you play 8 times the speed, it'll freeze for a second every 2 seconds. If you play at normal speed, it'll freeze every 10 seconds on the 9th second of that in game second. AKA 0:09, 0:19, 0:29, 0:39, 0:49, 0:59, 1:09, etc etc. (ignore the clickable in these numbers) (And that trillian message, you'll know when you hear it if you use Trillian. :P)
I love Blizzard games, except WoW. But it's getting hard to enjoy when I'm ignored constantly by tech support because they simply don't give a flying fuck about your issues anymore. They are to rich to care what issues a few players have. Word has it, it's only people who use a few specific graphics cards. If you have this same issue. Please report your graphics card here and I will add it to the list here and in the topic I re-post about this on SC2's forums. It seems to only be nVidia cards by the way.
