This is the second PlayStation game I ever played. Back in the olden days of Blockbuster Video, I rented a PlayStation for a few days and got two games: This, and Kileak: The DNA Imperative. This was by far the better of the two, though Kileak wasn't a terrible game for the time. (And Kileak got a sequel, but as far as I know this didn't!)
This game showcases really early PlayStation game design, with somewhat clunky controls because it predates analog sticks on PS controllers. The graphic design is kind of off-and-on, with decent in-game assets but very bland menu graphics. The game has kind of a PC-98 feel to it, with small animated windows for characters and lots of empty space on the screen at times.
However, the sound design and atmosphere are good and the script and voice acting are surprisingly good for an early PS game! Plus, since this was one of my first PlayStation experiences, I really like coming back to it once in a while. Join me as I explore the moon base, HAMLET!
