It seems like these videos are getting longer and longer, which isn't my intention. In this video, I write a few scripts to adjust the speed of the sprites, which are really particles, that are travelling across the screen. Unfortunately, things are a little more complicated than I first anticipated, and it doesn't help that the example code available on the internet seem to have been superceded. I do figure it out eventually, and the outcome is as planned.
