2Scorn is developed by the Serbian developer Ebb Software and is a atmospheric first-person biopunk survival horror adventure video game. Scorn is heavily inspired by the works of Zdzisław Beksiński and H. R. Giger. The game has been released on 14 October 2022 for Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows.
In Scorn a humanoid, who is lost in a nightmare of a world filled with living techno-organic structures composed of bone, flesh and machines, is controlled by the player. The player has to explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion and hope to find answers that will explain more about the game's world.
The game's gameplay is primarily split combat and exploration. The exploration part include occasional environmental puzzles in order to progress. For combat the game includes a couple of biomechanical weapons, which are all attached to a modular base. In order to use a weapon, the character needs to remove the current weapon from the base and replace it with the other weapon. Scorn features 4 weapons: a pneumatic drill (or at least it is very similar to a drill), which can be used as some sort of a key. A pistol-like weapon, a shotgun-like weapon and an implosive grenade launcher.
