Scorn of the Beasts of the Dark
0Got a rank up, so decided to actual get done with the latest trial we got. First time wiped, thought I could outlast the chaos waves to get in some thunder damage, this was not the case. Went back with my original plan of murdering Ifrit 3 times, then continuing to kill Siren.
It took quite a while, but it worked! I could have risked the thunder attack, but decided against it, if my dodge tank dies, well, it pretty much happens here when they are free to punch whomever they want. I just happen to get lucky in those instances.
I'd say there were a couple close calls, but the worst one was when I was just left with my tanks. Which is good, since I could start reviving with good ol Chow.
I kind of don't like this trial in general, mostly since it felt really gear check then anything. Without a good amount of resistance, the options are kind of limited. I've thought about using specific characters to counter this, say like Veritas of the Dark. He has absorb, so you need nothing for resistance, since they all have dark on them except the counter, so you can also ignore chaos wave with him.
It's a challenge, but more of one where overall skill use is more limited. I hope most won't just be elemental resist fests, but will see.
