scrap - armored core animation
yes i know this a VERY short animation but this is a proof of concept, i have been re learning blender's compositor and ive been trying to make more realistic animations. for my realism practice i decided to recreate weather i see almost everyday of life, i live in the north west so i wanted to recreate the cold wet overcast we get here while also incorporating some ac6 rubicon 3 weather in there. im very happy with how this came out, the cold late after noon overcast is exactly how i wanted it, the light snow or ash is just how i wanted it. if theres one thing i could fix, its the flickering of the glare, i try to render everything in camera and try to as little post render touch ups, the flickering is all in camera because in order to get the glare i had to use the direct light hitting the glass of the hilbert head, the glass has weird refraction and an uneven roughness, those and probably more things is whats causing the flickering. i could have fixed the flickering with davinci resolves deflicker filter but to use that i have to pay almost $300 for davinci resolve pro... im not wasting the little money and time i have to fix a flicker... unless im getting payed. i could have fixed the flickering by taking twice as long to finish this by rendering everything without the glare and then only render the emission of the eyes and remove the glass and then in davinci i add the glare.
but it is what it is and im super happy with how this came out, i just wish youtube compression didnt ruin it, it looks 10x better uncompressed.
