2From time to time, it's good to slow down and play something casual, a down-to-earth game with tranquile pacing and no uber-boss around the corner. The older I get, the higher my need for such titles - good simulators that put you in the shoes of a particular professional. Scrapping Simulator is another answer to that need.
I came across this game when browsing the Steam library and it immediately caught my attention because it's about one of the things I would love to do in real life but it's simply too dangerous and demanding to treat is as a hobby that you could fiddle with under your roof. Scrapping Simulator also has elements of my another "gaming fetish" - I love to stack items and do mundane tasks in games, e.g. stacking logs in Farming Simulator, managing items in The Long Drive, piling up burnt books in Skyrim...
The game so far has a very basic routine - you do a round around the block, haul all the e-scrap to your garage, dismantle it, get the good stuff, go and sell your recycled metals. The game developer seems to have a lot of passion for this project and will certainly add more stuff soon. It's a simple title but developed with a clear plan in mind.
