YouTube did it again! After countless of false positives when detecting copyrighted content through YT's infamous (and retarded) Content ID, and having to justify tens of times that the content that I post here on this channel COULD NOT be owned by any claiming companies, as almost everything here wasn't ever released on an album.

But last week, there was one thing that simply took the cake. There is this company called BMG, a music publishing... err thing, that simply refuses to let go of it's claim, having reinstated it. Even though it DOESN'T FUCKING OWN the song that they claimis theirs!

That song is from the Amiga and Atari ST soundtracks of Push-Over, that I uploaded lastweek (and the same happened with the new one I uploaded yesterday). And unfortunately for that I'll have to remove some portions of the audio otherwise BMG would earn money off the video, essentially robbing the composers in broad daylight!

They claim that specific song used in the video is "Comfortably Numb", and upon a quick search it seems to be a Pink Floyd song, yet comparing those two songs they don't sound alike AT ALL. They don't have the same notes and the Push-Over song is in a completely different register!
That's why I encourage you to persist if you find yourself in such a pickle, those assholes don't deserve a fucking penny for your or other people's work. Always try to dispute anywrongful copyright claims!

This is the extent to which the lunacy of the US copyright laws reach, they offer no benefit to content creators, artists, inventors, scientists, or promote creativity AT ALL, it just protects corporations and their greedy CEOs, who keep abusing the system.

Same goes to YouTube's Content ID, instead of focusing on actually doing what it claims, it just churns out false positives 80% of the time, then companies like BMG get a chance to screw you over royally, without being able to defend yourself unless you can afford to go to court.
