An active region viewed in profile put on quite a show of spurting plasma and looping arches (Sept. 22-23, 2015). The region, which would appear as a sunspot group when viewed in filtered white light, was observed here in a combination of two wavelengths of extreme ultraviolet light. In a furious barrage over about 40 hours we counted at least 25 shots of plasma. The loops above the region are charged particles spinning along and illuminating magnetic field lines.
