Here's a video of the hidden scene and two hidden messages that appear if you wait a while after Secret of Evermore's credits. Keep in mind that I trimmed this video to significantly speed things up, so you won't have to wait. At normal speed, there would have been close to an hour of waiting to see all of these hidden details.

Timestamps, along with how it normally plays out:

0:00 - Initial THE END message (normally lasts roughly 10 minutes)
0:17 - Hidden post-ending scene
0:58 - THE END? screen (normally lasts about 30 minutes)
1:12 - Hidden developer message 1
1:18 - Black screen (normally lasts about 20-30 minutes)
1:20 - Hidden developer message 2
After that, the game quickly returns you to the game's title screen.

For anyone curious about the different messages:

"Dolly Grip Brian Fehdrau" is referencing both Secret of Evermore's lead programmer, Brian Fehdrau, and his wife, Dolly. (Thanks to Brian Fehdrau in the comments of this video for clarifying this one for me!)

"It's Bill's fault" is an inside joke among the dev team that refers to another of the game's programmers, Bill Kristiansen, who had the unlucky habit of being "at fault" for multiple broken builds of the game. Here's the explanation, in Brian Fehdrau's words (taken from a post by him on Secret of Evermore's GameFAQs message board):
"Bill was one of the programmers. He's a great guy and a talented programmer, but he did have a particular habit of being at fault when the build was busted, so we finally just decided that everything that ever went wrong, anywhere and everywhere, would officially be his fault. Really, it saved a *lot* of time. :) This was a nod to that."
