Known as Aqutallion in Japan (and from my understanding, it's superior to this game, made earlier with more content that was later removed), it's one of Tecmo's only "Traditional" RPGs, and boy is it traditional. It's typically seen in a negative light due to many nagging issues, the NES quality graphics, almost nonexistant story & character development, linearity (?), and the almost entirely useless "Kusteras" that you're forced to drag around the whole game. Despite having (barely) finished the game, I can't honestly recall any exciting moments, only frustration.

This game has some good concepts (town-building aspects, exploration, combination magic, pretty good soundtrack), but the majority of the game is monotonous, IMO, and the pace is waaaaaay too slow. This is one of those uncommon-to-rare SNES RPGs. It was originally made in 1993, but I doubt it would have stood out even if it was released in the U.S. at that time. This video uses my latest file to show the game (mainly because I can't perform combo magic until my class advanced beyond Pennon). Enjoy.
