YES you are reading correctly! I'm back with doing a Pokemon Solo Series and I'm starting with a true classic. Pokemon FireRed, but this isn't any ordinary Pokemon FireRed. It's Pokemon Omega FireRed a hacked version created by none other than Drayano60. Yes of course playing through it would be easy if it weren't for the Nuzlocke part of this playthrough. Not any ordinary Nuzlocke of course, but a Chesslocke. For those who don't know what a Chesslocke is the rules are down below, but to explain in a nutshell. It follows some of the gimmicks of the board game chess to the extent where I can only capture 16 pokemon's throughout my entire playthrough of the game (this includes the starter as well). Crazy right, and each pokemon serves a purpose. I explain more in the video, so be sure to check it out. I've decided to do this version of a Nuzlocke because I haven't seen many being done on Youtube, so I hope you enjoy this series. Here are the Rules of the Chesslocke:

1. Capture the first pokemon encounter in each route

2. You must nickname every pokemon you capture

3. Pokemon that faint have to either be boxed or released

4. Same species encounter = re-encounter

5. If I encounter a shiny pokemon I must capture it

6. Can only capture 16 pokemon throughout the whole entire
playthrough

~Roles of Each Piece:

1. King -Your starter must be the King. The King must always be in
your party. If the King dies, it's game over. (1)

2. Queen -Only female Pokemon may be the Queen. (1)

3. Bishop -May only have two damaging moves at any time. (2)

4. Knight -May not use moves which have a base power greater
than 60 (Before STAB). (2)

5. Rook -May not use damaging moves with secondary effects on
the enemy. They may use non-damaging moves as well.

6. Pawn -May not evolve ever. It also can't be a Pokemon that is
already evolved upon capture or has no evolution. If a
Pawn wins any major battle (Gym, Rival, E4) by itself, it
can become a knight, bishop, rook or a Queen, the last
only applies to female Pawns and only if there is no
Queen (Or if the Queen is dead). (8)
