Sega did not reveal the manufacturer of the holster case on any of the packaging I've seen, though I haven't looked over when they switched over to the sexy purple and black silk marketing redesign for Game Gear products. Either way, this case has an almost jeans-like feel to the nylon exterior. It's a rough feel that falsely give you the confidence this case can bear the brunt of physics while keeping its precious organs intact. It's a shame they couldn't offer more well-rounded protection for your gear. As it stands, it's pretty much for dust-proofing only. These old-school manufacturers really did us wrong by dropping 4 cents of early 90s money from foam that might have led to better reviews of their product. What do they care? They got your money by slapping the official logo on it and calling it a day. On the plus side, the material and design feels sturdy enough to hold together. Here it is--30 years later without a cut or many threads pulled.
