Sega GT 2002 Season 1 [1/11]: No Damage, All Prize Cars - First Official Race, Hot Hatch, and 80's
I wanted this game to be on my channel, although my capabilities to record older consoles (4:3 Composite with partially glitched graphics) speak against it.
In this walkthrough, all Official Races and Event Races (for winning prize cars) will be done without damage. I will score Rank 1 on all License Tests as well (although you get absolutely nothing for that). Moreover, I won't use overpowered cars or make them overpowered for all Official Races. That means, I will use non-upgraded cars until the last race of B License Stage and from there on I will use only a few upgrades to keep my car competible.
An enumeration of all goals in this walkthrough can be found in the playlist of this series:

02:45: Adjusting volumes, because the engines are way too loud in this game.
03:25: Selecting first car (206)
04:06: Official Race - Speed Ring 2002 (Desert Super Ring) [206]
07:55: Hot Hatch Event - Winning and Special Prize (Iron City Circuit) [206]
14:36: Battle of 80's - Winning and Special Prize (Turquoise Sea Park) [205]
The 206 is strong enough to win the first Official Races with ease and to win the Special Prize of the Hot Hatch Event with some effort. Special prizes can be won by overtaking three opponents on the second lap and therefore placing 3rd after starting the second lap on 6th, 2nd after starting at 5th, or 1st after starting at 4th. This is the reason why I stay on the 4th place for the entire first lap. For races where there is only one opponent (like in the Drag Race), the condition for winning a Special Prize is to participate in and win this event 3 times in a row.
I'm starting with all Event Races right away because if you stay on 'No License', it is possible to win all races with non-upgraded cars
Nothing to say about 'Speed Ring 2002'. I'm doing this race only because the Hot Hatch Event takes place on the Desert Super Ring on Day 0 where you can't win the Special Prize. On Day 1, it takes place on the Iron City Circuit, where the Special Prize is challenging, but possible. The Special Prize, the 205, can be used for the Battle of the 80's. The Special Prize in this Event is easy to win. I just had to be careful not to crash into someone or someone crash into me.
