Sega of America Q1 Retail Video 2000 [VHS / 2000]

I'm sure tons of millennials today would remember the Dreamcast, Sega's last hurrah in the console hardware market till 2001; their last great stance against the inevitable, impending doom that Sony was about to unleash onto them in the form of the PlayStation 2. Sega's early 2000 line-up here showed lots of promise with (relative) heavy-hitters as Crazy Taxi and Resident Evil: Code Veronica coming up front and center to showcase the power of the console.
Most of the rest of these games featured in this VHS have a B-grade allure that probably didn't convince that many to stick around for the console's future, especially when these titles could be found in other platforms elsewhere. In fact, the hottest name in the bunch, RE: Code Veronica, ended up getting a re-release as an expanded PS2 port about a year later. Honestly though, by this point it seemed most people paying attention to the DC probably only came for CV and dashed as soon as it dropped.
At least there's fun commercials for Soul Caliber and NBA 2K though. Have fun.
