Recorded in the Sega Saturn emulator ssf 0.12 beta.

This was the original browser CD that came packed with the 28.8 Sega Saturn NetLink modem which allowed internet access through your home television. It came out just before Sony's WebTV and was a very cheap way for users to get on the internet.

Since the NetLink hardware is not yet emulated, you cannot get the five NetLink-enabled games working in the emulator: Sega Rally NetLink Edition, Virtual On NetLink Edition, Daytona USA CCE NetLink Edition, Duke Nukem 3D, and Saturn Bomberman.

This video shows the basic functions of the original Planetweb 1.0 browser. All bookmarks, email addresses, settings, and all pertinent ISP information was saved on the Saturn's internal memory. After downloading a browser upgrade, the Saturn would reset and the update would be stored temporarily in the system's RAM, so should you turn off your console, you would have to redownload the update to use the new features.

Planetweb never pressed a 2.0 browser disc, so 1.011 and 3.0 are the only physical browsers for the Sega Saturn NetLink.
