Before I upload my video of Another Stage 6, I felt it would be a good idea to make a quick video showing Seija Kijin in both Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character and Dangerous Patchouli With Suwako, for comparison purposes.

I happened to already have a saved replay of me fighting Seija Kijin on the Normal difficulty of TH14, which was very convenient (so I didn't have to actually refight her for this video). And, for Dangerous Patchouli With Suwako, I've chosen to show her on the Hyper difficulty, which is the second difficulty level in that game, one step below Another. There is a reason why, which you'll see eventually in my video of Another Stage 6.

So, Seija Kijin's main gimmick involves flipping or rotating the screen in various ways, in an effort to disorient you. With her first spell card, she flips the screen horizontally, making it appear that your horizontal controls are reversed, so left makes you move right and vice versa. With her second spell card, she flips the screen vertically, so your up and down inputs are effectively swapped. And, during her final spell card, she periodically rotates the screen 180°, causing all of your directional inputs to basically be reversed while the screen is upside-down.

(In TH14, she also has another spell card which involves arrows wrapping around the screen vertically, but she doesn't mess with the screen's orientation itself for that one.)

Dangerous Patchouli With Suwako is very faithful in recreating Seija Kijin's screen flipping gimmick for her three spell cards there. However, she throws an interesting twist into the gimmick on Another difficulty, which is why I wanted to show her on a lesser difficulty here first.
