Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice NG+7+ Charmless and Bell Demon, Sugar Free (No enhancements)
Battle with Corrupted Monk featuring the Lazulite Axe, Phoenix Lilac Umbrella and 3 Snap Seeds, as well as the combat art Empowered Mortal Draw.
Corrupted Monk is a tough battle of attrition of the mind in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, especially if one is trying not to cheese it.
Much like Headless Ape, this fight is really a deflection/posture fight that can feel really drawn out at higher levels if one does not have a plan to do damage, especially when trying not to cheese it. Corrupted Monk doesn't flinch or react easily, so good opportunities to do damage are difficult to harness and require decent knowledge of the boss. That said, Corrupted Monk's moves are somewhat simple compared to a number of other bosses, and I found the deflect timing to be easier to grasp than some others.
As you can see, I got very lucky with the one mistake I made, but still, that meant no damage! Corrupted Monk should not have missed!
I hope you enjoy the fight!
The combat is really something special in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and I highly recommend you check it out on the platform store of your choice.
