Sekiro: Isshin Ashina in Refelctions feat. Laz Sabimaru, Suzaku's Umbrella, Praying Strikes-Exorcism
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Reflections of Strength
Battle with Isshina Ashina in Reflections of Strength featuring the Lazulite Sabimaru, Suzaku's Lotus Umbrella, and the Senpou combat art Praying Strikes-Exorcism.
As you can see in the lower left corner, this battle is fought without Kuro's Charm and in possession of the Bell Demon.
I chose the Lazulite Sabimaru primarily because Lord Isshin Ashina is weak to poison (this is interesting, no?), but the immensely stylish evading strike helps make it an appealing choice.
Suzaku's Lotus Umbrella is used primary to help hasten the buildup of posture damage from certain attacks, against which fire negation is necessary. It also looks cool.
Praying Strikes-Exorcism is used primarily to pay homage the first duel fought by real-world Japanese Sword Saint Miyamoto Musashi, who defeated his first opponent by ducking beneath a sword blow to delver a powerful shoulder strike, knocking down his opponent and giving Musashi the opportunity to strike him dead. It is believed the technique was taught to him by his father.
The Praying Strikes part of the art allows a quicker counter to certain attacks that cause Sekiro to use a slower sword counter.
I role-played this as a Sekiro reluctant to fight Lord Isshin, the Tengu who helped him achieve his goals, but then in phase 2, there is clearly no more holding back in an intense fight to the death.
I hope you enjoy the fight! The combat is really something special in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and I highly recommend you check it out on the platform store of your choice.
