Not the only monkey so far, but the most vexatious, and unlike the others he isn't wearing a cute little hat. I did meet a cute little monkey with a sword. He wasn't very good with it, so I took it off him and killed him. A volley of shurikens took out his aggrieved family. But this big ape was more of a problem.


This is somewhere around my seventh attempt. Many others involved being hurled to my ignominious doom, pulped, or in one case, terrified to death.


There are two occasions late in the fight where I try to use Sekiro's prosthetic arm spear and its "hook things toward you" effect, before realising I'm out of spirit emblems (cruciform, bottom right) to power it.


Other bosses en route to this one from Genichiro included a very twirly fainting attention-seeking woman looking for someone in particular but who would settle for trying to stab me to death, and an obese ghostly monk who seemed rather aggravated by what he interpreted as my attempt to crash a wedding.
