Sekiro - Isshin, the Sword Saint #3 (Hudless, Hitless, Charmless & Demon Bell)
Probably the last of these I'll do for a while, I gave it my all :)
For clarity's sake: I did Tanto before the fade into the fight.
Isshin's big phase one circular slash whiffing is a thing that happened often. I think it's because the actual sword hitbox doesn't hit Sekiro (as he's in Isshin's face) and Isshin's arms don't have collision.
I'm not even entirely sure I would have deflected it as it often comes out faster than I expect so I am not entirely consistent at it yet.
In any case, I was done grinding out the RNG and this was such a good fight on other fronts that I let it slide :)
Floating Passage is a pretty useful to extend your initiative. It continues applying vitality damage even if blocked and has quite a few slashes, so it can be more useful than just continuing with regular slashes until the opponent deflects. (While it doesn't apply vitality damage through blocks, I like Praying Strikes for the purpose of extending my initiative as well.)
I don't use the full combo for every opening in P1 because ending on a deflect usually makes Isshin retreat. I'm also not entirely convinced that the Divine Abduction opening is safe. Isshin has in other runs broken through that but I'm not sure why exactly.
There's also a safety slash after jump stomps in P1 because sometimes, due to the uneven ground, the air-time is too long and FP doesn't lock Isshin into blocking as a result.
@eltigremuyloco taught me how to perfectly deflect Isshin's gun barrage. I don't actually do that here, but I still use the trick he told me about: Deflect the first two shots, then wait until you hear the third shot before deflecting the fourth. Sekiro automatically deflects the third shot as long as you get the first two. Instead of deflecting the fourth bullet I step-dodge it instead, which I found to be easier and gets you an opening for a quick slash.
The same works for Geni's arrow barrage as well and it's easier to practice at that, since it's a slightly slower barrage.
I guess this is my first real foray into using 3 prosthetics. Not the first time I've used 3, but the first time I've actually used all three for more than a gimmick.
