For 2022 helmet release update: I am pretty sure, and I am sure someone will correct me if I am right or wrong in the comments, that one of the Harley Davidson helmets for 2022 is this Sena Outrush R model, with the cosmetic difference of the words Harley Davidson on the helmet... I do not know at this time what Harley Davidson is selling them for price wise.. just an observation. You might have a look at both and compare to be sure, if you are looking for the Harley label..

Purchased large..I fit Large and some mediums.. This fit like a glove.. no manual... you have to download it..that is kinda odd with so much to remember..should make up hard cards to save on the bike for a week or two.. but ok, download to phone.. chin skirt nice.. padding nice.. the whole BT 5.0 unit sits outside the helmet and charges from there thru C-USB.. mine came fully charged.. C-USB connects to software you have to download and can firmware it.. for some odd reason it didn't recognize I had 1.0 and I updated to 1.0 all over again.. but it worked fine...

Then the "Sena utility app" is needed from google play store, which gets your phone connected (mine is Galaxy A12, Bluetooth 5) using the downloaded manual...it all went well.. I could play music files and/or videos( for music) fine through the helmet using VLC Player.. pretty dang loud with plenty of bass for me.. so this, phone calls and FM is all I really got it for.. The FM worked fine.. loud and clear... I don't know when I will try intercom etc..I ride alone.. but will update if I do..

Note: besides the 3 extra riders using a Sena, the manual states one of them could be a non-sena unit and describes how to connect this way.. again just mentioning, I doubt I will try this any time soon for intercom system

I wanted a modular flip-up.. I have a few full face.. Advertised as DOT and ECE?, yet only DOT shows on Helmet and I cannot find ECE rating on the inside either. they need to make this more clear one way or the other.


Update: Answer: It is rated for DOT and ECE, however we have two different models, One for DOT and the other for ECE from A manufacturer · August 5, 2021

That really didn't answer if they are made differently.. and I believe ECE is a higher rating... plus, if you go to the EU..leave your helmet at home.. DOT does not cut it there... ohwell..

I feel safe enough I guess, but wonder if they make two different helmets with different safety levels? Seeing I use to ride without any helmet, then the half shells.. This should be fine..


Wind noise at a minimum from what I tried so far up to 70mph.. Nice tight fit. ratchet strap works fine.. Music clear as well as phone calls, speed dial also available.. went right back to music once hung up... wouldn't expect much better.. seems to be worth the buy for my needs.
