Sentiment Speaks: Start Worrying When The 'Top-Callers' Turn Bullish
Sentiment Speaks: Start Worrying When The 'Top-Callers' Turn Bullish I remember the 2016 to 2018 time-frame quite fondly, as it was one in which we enjoyed quite a wonderful bullish run in the stock market. I even remember reading about one analyst who suggested short-term short positions on the market during most of that run, which caused great losses for those following his work. But, I think it is quite clear to all that the market hit a temporary euphoric high in September 2020, which then saw the market enter a multi-month consolidation in order to re-set sentiment enough to allow us to continue on our merry bullish way. However, while many will be certain that we have begun a bear market with that pullback, I view it as a wonderful opportunity for your next additions to your long positions, as the market will likely set up the next bullish phase off the March 2020 lows as it points us next towards the 5500SPX region as we look towards the end of 2022 and into early 2023.
