It's hard to say which was the more annoying to unlock between this and Dark Watch Nightmist, but as is, I'm currently learning toward this one. What's worse is that Nightmist's variant isn't that bad, while I don't know how much if at all, I'll be using this one.

In order to unlock Ra's variant, you merely need to play 6 specific ongoing cards and then have him go down to the Ennead's attack. Unfortunately, with all of the many ways for equipment and ongoing cards to get destroyed, getting all of those out can be fairly difficult without any of them getting destroyed along the way. I was thinking about bringing Tempest along so I could Reclaim from the Deep, but these guys can get annoying with 5 people, so I opted for these 4.

As I demonstrate here, Solar Eclipse should be the final card you play as the damage Ra takes will very quickly eat away at him. The other damage amplifying cards can be played as they're obtained since it is very helpful to thin the Ennead out a little before playing the final cards. I also recommend bringing Tachyon here as you can have her redirect an attack to guarantee Ra goes down when you want him to.
