Serato loop problem on Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX
ANSWERS FROM SERATO & NUMARK BELOW
FROM SERATO:
While you cannot access the full saved loop functions in Serato DJ Lite nor can you make 16-bar auto loops, you can activate 1 saved loop using hardware controls. However, what you are experiencing is still expected behaviour.
The difference between your Roland DJ 202 and Mixtack Platinum FX is that the Roland DJ 202 has 2 slightly different buttons to enable the saved loop, whereas your Mixtrack Platinum FX only has one.
The two buttons I am talking about on your Roland DJ 202 are when you are in the "LOOP" pad mode, the bottom right two pads are labelled "EXIT" and "ON/OFF".
The "EXIT" button is also called "Exit/Reloop" on other controllers and it is the one you have access to on your Mixtrack Platinum FX. When a loop isn't already enabled this button will enable the loop and move the needle to the beginning of the loop (sometimes it will go to the very end of the loop but this doesn't matter as the end and the beginning are the same when a loop is enabled). When a loop is already enabled it will simply disable the loop.
Whereas the "ON/OFF" button will toggle between enabling the loop and disabling the loop without moving the needle. This function is only available on the DJ 202.
As you can see, the issue that you are having here is that you were expecting the function of the "ON/OFF" button when the Mixtrack Platinum FX only has the "Exit/Reloop" button mapped.
MY REPLY:
I am fine with the reloop function, it is what it want. The problem is that the "needle" is changing position.

FROM NUMARK:
The Auto-Loop functionality of the Mixtrack Platinum FX creates auto-loops of specified lengths as described in the user guide. This mode does not trigger Saved Loops. This is a hardware limitation.
MY REPLY:
As you can clearly see in the video, When I hit shift + loop on the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX, the full 16 beat loop DOES activate. The problem is that the "needle" position jumps.
POST BELOW WITH DATE IF THIS IS STILL HAPPENING TO YOU & link to this video as an example in your forum posts.
This is an example of a glitch for the developers to see, not a solution to it. Please stop leaving thumbs down because of the video is exactly what it says it is. Do feel free, however, to use the link to help with your reporting the problem to the developers
