Yep, I'm not kidding. I was just casually playing through the game. I was at In Carcassone level. At one point in the level some drones spawned and for a split second I saw that I can press E on one of the drones, but it didn't work. So I went to their spawn point and managed to take one.
I also got it without using cheats.
So, from what I've experienced:
-The other drones will stop shooting while you're riding the drone
-You can't damage the drone, only the enemies can
-The drone converts/becomes friendly to you. Like you can get off of it and it will do nothing, not even move and you can ride it again.
-I feel like this might be a leftover or it's just bugged, when you ride it, Sam will T-Pose in third person and in first person the viewmodel is through the drone model, so you can't really see that good in first person
-You control them only via WASD, Space and CTRL. It's weird because you're using A and D to rotate it.
