i. Here are some tips for using Google Maps more effectively:

- Know the exact street address, city, and zip code of the place you want to find. This works best for search.

- Use landmarks in the location name if you don't have an exact address. For example "Statue of Liberty, New York City".

- Enable location services on your device so the map can detect your current location if needed.

- Use the zoom and pan tools to navigate and scan areas closely if you don't see the place immediately.

- Type the location name in the map's search bar and select from the autocomplete results.

- Expand the layers and map view options to toggle between map, satellite, terrain to help identify the location.

- Look for identifying icons and markers on the location like a customs icon for airports, university logo for campuses etc.

- Drop pins on the map to bookmark areas and track your search. Use favorite/star option to save custom pins.

- Check both banner signs and actual buildings closely to match the location name during visual search.
