Setting Up ESP8266 For PS4 (Quick & Dirty)
25In this video I go over how to set up a ESP8266 device for hosting exploits and payloads offline. I am using RetroGamer's firmware and a NodeMCU 8266 V3. Make sure to plug in your ESP8266 to your computer using a usb cable before you start the flasher program, this will allow Windows to set up your device and assign it a COM port. IF Windows does NOT auto-detect and assign it a COM port, you will need to install the drivers (links below) and possibly do some troubleshooting. Also, remember after flashing your ESP8266 needs power so I plugged mine into my PS4 but I'm assuming you could also plug it into a wall outlet with an appropriate wall adapter. IF you do it that way, make sure you read up on voltages and what not and choose the appropriate wall adapter. I'd advise just plugging it into your PS4 USB port as that's what I did.
