When the black box from the Nostromo is recovered on the free station of Sevastopol, Amanda Ripley is hired to retreive it. She travels alongside two companions from Weyland-Yutani who are recovering a corporate asset. For amanda, this isn't about the company, or the money. This is about closure. But all isn't well on the free station. What was clearly a run-down satelite in the middle of being de-commisioned has been taken over by a rogue AI. The human crew have become violent, struggling for survival. The working Joes heed the command of the Apollo AI to unknown ends. And something is lurking in the vents.
