[SFM] The End of an Era... And the Beginning of a New One
I know what some of you are thinking but before you get worried, this does not mean I'm quitting YouTube or making videos altogether. But this is the final animation I will likely ever make in Source Filmmaker. Let me explain; SFM is a fine engine and all but the problem is that it's badly outdated and it's still in beta. And the engine and the workshop are also limited, giving me very little assets to work with, including the reignited models, thus limiting my ideas on what I can make. The worst thing about it though was that SFM has gradually become more frustrating to use as whenever I do anything, the engine for some reason freezes while I'm trying to animate, forcing me to restart it and I've grown tired of using it at this point. I want to make a change and move on to something like Blender. The problem though is that Blender is more complicated to figure out than SFM was when I first started using it. But what I want to do in Blender is not only make better animations in there, but also learn to make my own models as well. I wanted to make this animation though to finally end things off and move on to better things. I might still use SFM sometimes but only for renders, images, and messing around with models from now on and nothing more. We had a good run with SFM, but like the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. But there's always a new beginning.
With that said, I'd like to thank each and every single one of my fans and especially my friends for the continued and loving support towards my animations for the past 6 years. I'm glad I was able to provide something good for the Spyro community. But now I'm ready to do bigger and better things with my content. And I hope I'll get that opportunity starting in 2022.
